Why this page exists

In 2019, B Corps joined climate strikes around Australia, Aotearoa, and the globe. The B Corp community in Australia made headlines with Not Business As Usual and took to the streets to ‘walk the talk.’  Today, the world is a very different place. We are facing some of the greatest challenges of our lifetimes, and even greater opportunities to rebuild better.

The scale — and urgency — of the climate crisis is more apparent than ever. Business is crucial in creating a net-zero carbon economy in the future. On December 11, 2019, at the UN Climate Change Conference COP25 in Madrid, over 500 B Corps took the stage and publicly committed to accelerate the reduction of their greenhouse gas emissions to reach a 1.5 degree trajectory leading to net zero by the year 2030—20 years ahead of the 2050 targets set in the Paris Agreement. To date over 800+ companies have committed to being net zero by 2030.

The B Corp Climate Collective aims to use the power of business to demand Australia's government to transition to renewable energy as we rebuild from COVID-19. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shift to a low carbon future through a renewable-led stimulus package.
