The 2020 B Corp gift guide

'Tis the season for giving, and we’re here to spread some Certified cheer. We found B Corp gifts for everyone on your list so you don’t have to.

A Patagonia backpack with a B Corp logo hanging on a tree.

For the B Corp buff

We might be biased, but we think this gift is just about perfect. A Certified B Corporation logo on a Patagonia backpack? It’s what dreams are made of, which is apparently all-recycled, durable water repellent fabrics. The 25L pack has space for almost everything on this list, so consider your stocking sorted. (P.S. You can see the Patagonia inventory without B Corp logos here.)

A KeepCup, Karst notebook, and coffee bag with a B Corp logo.

For your desk-mate

Your home office may have had you missing your coffee run pal, your Friday lunch buddy, or even the guy from accounting you always see in the lift. Show them how much they’re appreciated with a thoughtful (and professional) B-themed bundle: a Karst Stone Paper notebook, KeepCup, and a bag of Sample’s seasonal roast.

For the peanut butter to your jelly

Prepare your socks to be knocked off. Fix & Fogg’s nut butter selection will leave you wondering what they can’t do. Smoke and Fire? Check. Chocolate Almond? Check and check. And for those PB&Js on the go, be sure to grab a LilyBee Wrap.

Aesop beauty products lined up on a counter.

For the self-care master

It’s the perfect time to welcome one of the newest additions to the B Corp community: Aesop. Whether it’s a hand balm or body scrub, your giftee will cherish every good-smelling drop. If you’re looking for something more festive, The Body Shop’s seasonal range features vanilla, jasmine, and berries to get you in the holiday spirit.

A person sits with their legs crossed on a patterned yoga mat giving a thumbs up.

For the yogis

Give a little light this year with a Sahaja yoga mat. Each one is made from natural tree rubber with a towel made from recycled plastic bottles, but that’s not all. All Sahaja purchases help distribute solar lights to communities throughout Mozambique. To hit the mat in style, gift a pair of WE-AR bamboo leggings too.

For the one on the move

Whether they’re a city cyclist or a road tripper, there’s a bag, sling, or wallet for every personality. Browse the ranges at Duffle & Co or Bellroy to find the perfect fit. A memobottle might slip in nicely, too.

A bottle of wine, liquor, and bitters in a row.

For the toastmaster

It’s easy for the bar cart to get emptied over the holidays, so do your friends a favour and stock them up with some B Corp beverages. The team at Unico Zelo make incredible wines and spirits, while Sawmill and 4 Pines make some tasty low-impact brews.

For the adventure seeker

For when it’s time to start exploring again, why not visit your own backyard? Surprise someone special with an Intrepid retreat that visits two local Byron Bay B Corps: The Farm and Stone & Wood. Victorians can book an epic walk on the Mornington Peninsula with RAW Travel, then refuel at Red Gum BBQ. Don’t forget your Kathmandu gear, too.

A barista pours milk into espresso in a coffee cup.

For the conscious coffee lover

There’s no shortage of coffee roasters in the B Corp community, so use this pre-holiday time for some taste testing. Peoples, Pablo & Rusty’s, Jasper, 23 Degrees, Montville, Sprout, and Sample all offer freshly roasted beans for anyone with a machine. And for those friends who love a cafe latte, a Staytray is perfect for avoiding those tragic spills.

Three issues of Dumbo Feather stacked on a table.

For the homebody

After a long year, we can think of nothing better than curling up on the couch with the latest issue of Dumbo Feather, a cuppa from T2, and an Elkie & Ark throw. Add in some BEAR face oil for some extra luxury, or spread the cosy cheer to your team with corporate gift packs from Koskela.

For the fashion forward

2020 is the year to leave fast fashion behind. Find better footwear options from Etiko, Allbirds, and TOMS or jeans that create a Freedom Dividend with Outland Denim. Buy well-made knits that empower women from KOCO, shop your values at Thread Harvest, or try Little Yellow Bird's new 100% Merino range. Marvel at made-to-last pieces with Arnsdorf, browse vintage finds at All the Wild Roses, or get modern staples from one of the Australian Brands Alliance ranges. Whatever you choose, don’t forget you need some holiday gifts too.

A cardboard box from Flora & Fauna with Dr Bronners and other products inside.

For a one-stop-shop

When no gift seems to fit, some low-waste stocking stuffers will do the trick. Shop a whole range of B Corp products at Biome or Flora & Fauna, like Ethique shampoo concentrates and Dr. Bronner’s soaps, Onya reusable bags and Uppercup coffee cups, or nail polish colours from Sienna Byron Bay and Kester Black. You can even find select Outland Denim styles.
